Very stable both indoors and outdoors. I really haven't had any major problems. One wheel wouldn't disengage to let it free wheel but, the tech. dept. checked it out, ordered the part and fixed in about an hour. Could use a little more ground clearance for going over higher thresholds. This machine is a good all round chair for my purposes.
